Rena’s journey began as a child where she was raised in the Episcopal Church. At a very young age, she felt inspired from being in the quiet.
After college, curiosity led her to trying her first yoga class. She was empowered by the combination both physical and mental strength required in a yoga class. She immediately fell in love with the practice. The inner grace she continued to develop as a devoted student kept her going back to class and led her to her current teachings.
Rena holds a B.S. in Occupational Therapy. Through her studies, she developed an extensive understanding of anatomy and physiology. She practiced as a Registered Occupational Therapist specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury.
After having children, Rena re-invented herself and began teaching yoga. She knew right away that this was her true calling. This beautiful work allows Rena to live her life with passion and purpose.
She has been teaching yoga since 2003.
She will be a forever student of the practice for continual refinement of her teaching skills.
She has great gratitude for having been taught by many very accomplished and world-renowned teachers, including Erich Schiffman, Noah Mazé, Elena Brower, Darren Rhodes and Christina Sell.
Rena studies meditation with Master Teacher, Amrito Cross. She practices meditation daily. This is her salvation.
Rena and her husband, Chris, have two beautiful boys, Luke-sixteen, and Ethan-thirteen. They are the true reason why she teaches yoga.
